The Karuna Universal Weaving Facility is a joint project of EPSA (Entire Power in Social Action) Nepal and Karnor that was initiated in order to open the weaving craft and industry to persons with disabilities across Nepal through accessibility designed into the workplace.
Today, since 2023, Karuna has completed several collections for studios around the world that aim to increase their social impact by producing rugs with persons with disabilities, directly facilitating employment and training in the art of rug weaving.

Karuna Facility primarily hires persons with disabilities in order to encourage their participation
The entire building of Karuna is Universally Designed, meaning each section is wheelchair-accessible and built with mobility challenges in mind
Karuna is the first ever universally designed carpet workshop, and as such, serves as a model for accessibility and inclusivity in not just the carpet industry but across Nepal
